Some weddings just hit you right in the heart — and Chelsey and Gage’s was absolutely one of those. Despite the forecast delivering a steady dose of rain, these two didn’t let the weather get in the way of celebrating the best day of their lives.
From the moment the day began, there was a sense of excitement in the air — and a whole lot of happy tears. Emotions ran high in the best way possible. From first looks that had everyone tearing up, to the emotional ceremony filled with heartfelt vows, there were so many beautiful, raw moments that reminded everyone just how deeply these two love each other.
One of the standout moments of the night? The photobooth. It was a total crowd-pleaser — guests kept coming back for more, snapping hilarious shots and leaving behind some truly unforgettable pages in the guestbook.
Because of the rain, we made the decision to schedule a separate portrait session — and it was 100% worth it. We met up again at McGregor Lake, and wow… it gave us everything: soft light, wide-open skies, the calm of the water, and that laid-back prairie beauty that makes Alberta so special. Chelsey and Gage got to be fully present with each other, with no timeline pressure — just the two of them, soaking it all in. And the images we captured there are some of my absolute favourites.
Rain or shine, Chelsey and Gage made it clear: this was their day, and nothing could take away from the joy of beginning their forever.
